Trailer: Gathering Sky

This looks like a nice game. There are no goals, no competitions, no puzzles to solve, just a bird to guide through the skies, gathering a flock. As far as I can tell, you guide the bird through a series of beautiful backgrounds to a gorgeous soundtrack, just gathering more birds for your flock.

The game tells a story with no words, aiming to create a relaxing and uplifting adventure, taking away the stresses of everyday life and making you feel a little better. Actually, just watching the trailer made me smile, so I’m sure the game will too. And in a world where a lot of games are just as stressful as some jobs, this is going to make a nice change of pace.

Trailer: Stories

So here’s a pretty cool looking game. Stories seems to be part RPG, part interactive-story and beautifully illustrated.

Sky corsair Reynardo is the last line of defence against an armada about to overtake his world. He fights against impossible odds, knowing that the fate of everything he holds dear rests on his shoulders.

The main characters are a rabbit and a fox (either an unlikely partnership or an age-old rivalry) and the choices you make in this game affect everything, such as the rest of the game’s plot and the behaviour of other characters. This should mean that it will be different on every play-through, hopefully giving the game a bit of longevity. I’m looking forward to seeing hoe well they execute this.

This is going to be so awesome. It’s two of my favourite things rolled into one: Victorian London and killing stuff. Coming out this year, by the looks of it. Enjoy!

Rise of the Tomb Raider Trailer

So this is pretty cool. The first trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider. It didn’t give much away, but the graphics look pretty awesome. Check it out.
