Trailer: Dollhouse

Yet another trailer for you and this one looks creepy. Set in the 1940s with a strong film noir feel, Dollhouse follows detective Marie as she tries to discover who she really is. The greatest part of it all is that you decide. Discover memories along the way and choose which to keep and which to forget in order to define Marie’s personality and change the narrative. The game claims to create a horror feel through the use of suspense rather than jump scares (I remember when Resident Evil used to be like that), which would make a nice change from all the stuff thrown in your face by most ‘horror’ games, films and TV shows of recent times. My only worry with this game is going to be the execution. It looks dark. Either it will work to the game’s advantage or it will hamper play. I always hope for the former, but I’m jaded by the amount of time I’ve spent walking my character into dark corners in other games.

Dollhouse is slated for release in early 2016 for PS4 and PC with a closed beta being launched soon.
